In a major boost to regional connectivity, Muzaffarpur's Patahi Airport is all set to begin regular flight operations within the next six months. The announcement was made during a recent visit to the city by Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary. This long-anticipated development is expected to significantly transform travel and economic activity in North Bihar.

Patahi Airport has been in the spotlight for years, but remained dormant despite increasing demand for air connectivity in the region. With the government now taking decisive steps, the airport is finally preparing to take off. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has already granted a no-objection certificate for crucial infrastructure work, including runway development and construction of a boundary wall.

ATS Arrests Patna Resident for Alleged Terror Funding Linked to Palestine

In a significant operation, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) conducted a late-night raid in the Al-Gyas Nagar locality of Phulwarisharif, Patna, resulting in the arrest of a youth identified as Mohammad Junaid. Authorities allege that Junaid engaged in activities supporting Palestine and transferred funds to a banned terrorist organization.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the ATS cordoned off the area and apprehended Junaid, who is currently being interrogated at an undisclosed location. Preliminary investigations suggest that he transferred ₹7,500 under the "Save Palestine" campaign to an account associated with a proscribed terrorist group. This operation was reportedly conducted in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Police, who have already arrested two individuals in connection with the case.
