ATS Arrests Patna Resident for Alleged Terror Funding Linked to Palestine
In a significant operation, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) conducted a late-night raid in the Al-Gyas Nagar locality of Phulwarisharif, Patna, resulting in the arrest of a youth identified as Mohammad Junaid. Authorities allege that Junaid engaged in activities supporting Palestine and transferred funds to a banned terrorist organization.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the ATS cordoned off the area and apprehended Junaid, who is currently being interrogated at an undisclosed location. Preliminary investigations suggest that he transferred ₹7,500 under the "Save Palestine" campaign to an account associated with a proscribed terrorist group. This operation was reportedly conducted in coordination with the Uttar Pradesh Police, who have already arrested two individuals in connection with the case.
Authorities have seized Junaid's electronic devices and social media accounts for further examination. The investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of his involvement and any potential links to broader networks.
